Welcome to the LISGIS Map Center. The Map Center provides you with access to the complete set of maps produced and provided by LISGIS since it began work. The maps are arranged into three sections – Geographic (Reference Maps), Thematic and Satellite Imagery – and you can search for specific products through the Map Catalogue. LISGIS will continue to produce new maps, so please check this page regularly for updates.
Reference Maps
These maps provide basic information about the country of Liberia, showing features such as administrative boundaries, road and rail networks, and populated places. These maps are intended to help you to orient yourself within the country. Please click here to go to reference maps.
Thematic Maps
These maps provide more specific information about key humanitarian sectors. They have been developed from data provided by UN agencies, NGOs and other humanitarian actors. These maps are intended to help you to better understand the humanitarian situation within Liberia. Please click here to go to thematic maps.
Satellite Images
The LISGIS has three sets of satellite data. Two of the sets are public: Landsat Mosaic and Landsat Topographic. Ikonos City maps are based on very high resolution (1m) satellite imagery. Maps are available for most of the major urban areas of Liberia.
